Aviation incident near Kenge, Democratic Republic of Congo

A Let L-410 aircraft travelling from Kikwit to Kinshasa was involved in a fatal incident near Kenge, in Kwango Province, on 25 September 2026.

The aircraft has been reported as registration 9S-GUC. Seventeen people are reported to have died. A technical problem was reported before an attempted emergency landing, but the precise cause has not been established.

Congolese authorities have opened investigations into the circumstances of the incident. My Aviation Claim is following developments and will update this page as further verified information becomes available.
